Between 2019 and 2020 we developed the visual identity for SuSu, an Angolan company working in the field of cultural engineering. From Umbundu, one of the most spoken Bantu languages in Angola, Susu means "January" and "beginning". SuSu being focused on the Portuguese speaking market, we wanted to make the original sound of the word stand out, since both "S" should read as [s]. Our strategy was to visually divide Susu into its syllables.
